01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
At Zero, diners can settle into a relaxed meal that transitions seamlessly from drinks paired with charcoal-grilled skewers to a satisfying bowl of specialty ramen. Bridging the gap between an izakaya and a dedicated noodle shop, the kitchen provides a generous spread of drinking snacks alongside carefully crafted noodle bowls, making it just as appealing for a quick post-work drink as it is for a full, leisurely dinner.
Fragrant Charcoal Skewers and Diverse Small Plates
The charcoal grill anchors the menu, turning out aromatic chicken dishes with crisp, smoky char. Alongside staples like negima (chicken and scallion) and tsukune meatballs, the restaurant features items such as two-flavor chicken thigh—served with both savory tare glaze and salt—and crunchy grilled yagen cartilage. A standout favorite to accompany a cold beer is the chicken liver tossed in salted sesame oil, lightly seared on the outside. A rotating selection of small dishes, from melting-cheese potato salad to pan-fried gyoza, allows guests to assemble their own customized spread of appetizers.
Ramen for Every Appetite and Comforting Rice Dishes
Noodles are treated with the focus of a specialty shop, with broth profiles to match varying tastes. The signature shoyu ramen and a delicate salt broth accented with yuzu offer a light, clean finish that works well as lunch or a gentle conclusion to a night out. Diners craving something bolder can turn to the kotteri ramen or miso ramen, both featuring rich broths that pair well with ajitama eggs and extra noodle refills. Beyond noodles, the kitchen prepares satisfying rice dishes, including tenshinhan draped in fluffy scrambled eggs and savory sauce, as well as grilled onigiri.
A counter lines the dining space, welcoming solo diners dropping in for a quiet meal or a casual daytime drink. Zero is closed on Mondays and operates from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 24:00 Tuesday through Sunday. Free parking spaces are available on the property.
